This stormwater retrofit project calls for the installation of a multi-tiered-filtration system within a town right-of-way in the Town of Lewisboro, New York. It is located between houses 68 and 78 Upper Lake Shore Drive, Lewisboro NY.
Alternative materials and proposed construction changes MUST be submitted to EOHWC for approval BEFORE the proposal due date.
From Article 11 – Substitute and “Or-Equal” Items
No item of material or equipment will be considered as an “or-equal” or substitute unless a written request for approval has been submitted by the Bidder and has been received by EOHWC/Insite at least 15 days before the bid due date. The burden of proof of the merit of the proposed item is upon Bidder. EOHWC/Insite approves any such proposed item, such approval will be outlined in an Addendum issued to all Bidders.

The latest revision of the design manual implemented by the EOHWC for design of all retrofit practices was updated on Feburary 15, 2018 to include StormBasin as an acceptable SMP. The manual includes all specifics for submittals to the EOHWC, design standards, and variances granted by the NYSDEC.
